A Northwood netball team have won the Queens North Junior Netball League and are now the Under 11 champions.
Northwood&Ruislip News spoke to Rochelle, the coach of the RV Leapers, who “had the pleasure of guiding this fantastic group of young athletes through an exciting and rewarding season”.
Rochelle became the RV Leapers’ coach in 2019 and highlighted the team’s hard work and dedication in contributing to their impressive performance.
She said: “Our girls trained consistently, put in effort at home with extra practice, and were always open to feedback. One thing we’ve really focused on is developing not just skill, but also resilience and team spirit.
“The girls pushed themselves to improve week after week, but we never lost sight of why we play: to have fun, enjoy friendships, and fall in love with the game. Their determination and commitment have been inspiring to watch.”
Rochelle highlighted that many of the girls had never played a competitive league season before, so their achievement acted as a “brilliant foundation for their future in netball”.
Team captain Sarina Shah added: “It has been a really fun season with the best team – and it’s been amazing to see the hard work pay off! We owe a lot to all our coaches, especially Rochelle and Trivena. So proud to be the 2025 champions!”
