A catering stall in Shenley has been awarded a new Street Trading Licence after a petition to save the beloved business accrued nearly 500 signatures.
On November 6, owner DJ Perry publicly stated that the Snaffle Shack had been granted its new licence and thanked the Shenley community for its ongoing support.
Owners DJ and Maca applied to renew their Street Trading Licence in January this year. When a public consultation was launched, three anonymous complaints blamed Snaffle Shack for parking problems at Andrew Close.
On October 1, loyal customer Lynn Morris set up a petition to save Snaffle Shack in the hope that loud community support would sway licencing officers.
Now, Lynn and tens of other dedicated customers will be delighted to hear that the much-loved local caterers are going nowhere.
One customer said: “Long may Snaffle Shack continue! Street food par excellence!”
Another said: “See you soon for one of the finest burgers around!”
