Chalfont St Peter looked to build on Saturday’s demolition of Ashford Town when they took on Bedfont Sports at Mill Meadow.
After a slow start, the Saints grew in confidence and Dan Williams delighted the home fans when he prodded Chalfont St Peter in front. Dan Purdue had to be at his best to preserve Chalfont St Peter’s lead.
After David Pitt doubled the Saints’ lead, Bedfont halved the deficit after 68 minutes but the home team held on to make it two wins out of two and ensure a perfect start to the new season.
