A group of Chorleywood schoolchildren have followed in the steps of music legends with a performance at Wembley Arena last month.
On Tuesday, February 11, students from The Russell School Junior Vocals choir joined schools from across the country to take part in Young Voices.
They performed at the iconic venue which has seen the likes of Lenny Kravitz, The Rolling Stones, ABBA, The Who and Blondie strut the stage.
Founded in 1992, Young Voices supports young singers across the country to share their love of singing and music.
A spokesperson for the school said: “Sixty children from The Russell School Junior Vocals choir performed amongst a massed choir of around 4,600 other children at Wembley Arena to a full house, singing songs from Bob Marley to Hairspray, Whitney Houston to Benson Boone, and dancing with the incredible dance group Urban Strides.
“The massed choir sang along with MC Grammar, Tommy Blaize and Souparnika Nair as well as performing their own songs. It was an incredible experience, and we can’t wait to go back next year.”
