Students at a school in Northwood have been welcomed into their brand new Sixth Form Pavilion designed to make studying both productive and enjoyable.

The pavilion at Northwood College for Girls boasts a range of desirable features including both solo and group study areas, a kitchenette, sofa area, balcony and even a fitness suite.

The project was many months in the making working with the colleges’ design and build partners Envoplan and Life Build to create the stunning space.

Mr Brown, director of finance and operations at the college said the aim of the centre was to provide the ideal working environment to which they have succeeded with students already loving the space.

He said: “Our objective was to create the perfect working environment for our Sixth Formers and I am delighted to say that this build has exceeded all expectations.

“It is a joy to visit the Sixth Form Pavilion, at times it is filled with laughter as the girls enjoy their coffees and relax in comfort, and at other times you can hear a pin drop as the girls are using this tranquil space to become absorbed with their studies.”

A redesigned stairwell features the girls’ very own light up slogan: “Don’t wish for it, work for it”.

The students have nothing but praise for the new centre which they find both motivating and comforting in helping with their studies.

One student said: “I am so excited to use our pavilion, it makes us feel independent and proud to be Sixth Formers.”

With another adding: “I love the greenery, it is beautiful and it makes me feel motivated to work.”
