Edge Grove School recently hosted Radlett United Synagogue’s Rabbi Kett as part of its Holocaust Memorial Day commemorations.
On Monday, January 27, the school held a special Holocaust Memorial Day assembly to remember the Holocaust and the impact it left on communities.
Based around this year’s theme, ‘For a Better Future’, the school shared touching stories of Holocaust survivors, 80 years on from the liberation of Auschwitz.
Rabbi Kett also led a prayer to commemorate the Holocaust, in front of a backdrop which read: “Never forget, never again.”
In a post on Facebook, Edge Grove School said: “We shared a special Holocaust Memorial Day assembly this morning with speakers sharing moving and personal stories of Holocaust survivors.
“We were also joined by Rabbi Kett who guided a prayer for those who lost their lives and spoke about this year’s theme of ‘For a Better Future’. Thank you everyone for such a moving assembly.”
