The M&Co clothing store on Rickmansworth High Street is closing down after its parent company was placed in administration.
At the time of writing, a closing down sale was ongoing at the shop, which is part of one of the biggest brands of its kind in the UK. The company has more than 170 shops across the country and 1,910 members of staff.
Gavin Park, of the company’s administrators Teneo Financial Advisory Limited, said: “The company has experienced a sharp rise in its input costs, which has coincided with a decline in consumer confidence.
“Despite a very loyal customer base, particularly in local markets, and a well-recognised brand, the current economic outlook has placed increasing pressure on the company’s cash position.”
