CENSUS 2021: New data reveals religious and ethnic makeup of Croxley Green

Published on: 1st January 2023   |   By: Bryn Holmes   |   Category: Uncategorized

Data from the recent 2021 census has revealed some of the facts and figures surrounding the populations of Croxley and Sarratt.

In both areas (named as Croxley Green and Croxley North & Sarratt), Christianity remained the majority religion, despite dropping off from the 2011 census.

This trend follows suit with the rest of the country, which for the first time saw fewer than half of the population define themselves as Christian, with 46.2 per cent saying so.

The majority of people in both areas are married, and most households in the regions were described as having no dimensions that would indicate deprivation in their living standards.

In terms of racial identity, both areas identified as majority white, with 80.8 per cent of people in Croxley Green and 87.4 per cent of people in Croxley North & Sarratt doing so.

Both areas had a slim majority female population, only by about one per cent each. The age bracket with the highest number of residents was 14 and under for the two regions as well.

Further data, including information about people’s jobs, housing, education, gender identity, sexuality and their health, is set to be released sporadically up to mid-January next year.
