The Croxley Guild of Sports & Social Club will host the grand finale of this year’s Croxley Mummers performance on Sunday, December 24.
Mummers plays were traditional folk plays performed in villages from around 1750 onwards.
The play tells the story of St George, who overcomes a succession of evils to claim his victory. It has been performed in the village since the 1920s.
The Mummers will be performing the play across the village, starting at All Saints’ Church at 11am and ending with the finale at the Guild.
