Local residents are invited to enjoy Watford Philharmonic Society’s (WPS) “outstanding” choir and orchestra on Saturday, December 16.
WPS is hosting its annual family celebration of all things Christmas at 7pm at the Grand Hall, Bushey Arena.
A spokesperson for the group said: “We will be joined by well-known baritone soloist (and society patron) Andrew Shore for a mix of seasonal music and carols old and new, as well as plenty of audience participation.”
This show follows on from the success of their autumn concert, which was held at the same venue at the end of October.
WPS was joined by local up-and-coming violinist, Danielle Lee. Danielle, now 17, joined the Watford Youth Orchestra aged 11 and has already performed at various notable venues, including the Cadogan Hall and Royal Albert Hall.
Lewis Foreman, reviewer for Gramophone magazine, said: “Every so often, one will find a concert which is quite outstanding, and we were fortunate to attend the WPS concert at Bushey Arena for just such an occasion.”
Tickets for the Christmas show can be purchased from www.trybooking.co.uk/COSI
