A Chalfont St Giles resident is urging people to make use of the new 104 and 105 bus services before they get taken away.
Karoline Lamb said she is ‘terribly excited’ about the bus transport changes as prior to that village residents were struggling to commute and could only rely on their cars.
The changes were implemented on September 1.
Karoline said: “The 104 is the best thing that happened for our village. We lost our bus service about 12 years ago and all we have had were four buses a day going from Beaconsfield to Uxbridge. It wasn’t of any use to anyone, the timings were wrong and what can you do with four buses a day?
“We just need to get people to use the buses before they take them away from us again.
“Us elderly people had to drive cars because we couldn’t get out of the village otherwise, it was terrible. Now we are free and we can go to places.”
Karoline told ChalfontsNews about her experience using the new transport facilities.
She said: “Yesterday I went to High Wycombe for the first time and my experience was absolutely fantastic because the bus was not crowded, everyone had masks on, they tried to stay far away from each other. Windows were open so fresh air was coming in.
“I can’t fault Carousel. I think they’ve done a wonderful job.”
