Residents, voluntary groups and new initiatives in Little Chalfont can now benefit from the recently set up Amersham Community Board.
The new board is all about creating ways of engaging with local people and talking about priorities for that local area.
Moreover, there is also a small budget available that can be used to support local projects.
Board coordinator, Lizzie Wright, said: “It’s all about bringing people together to understand what the local issues are for the local area and help address them.
“We had some initial meetings with the parish council and community residents association in Little Chalfont, so we have some initiatives they would like us to look at.
“It’s very early days at the moment but if there are any initiatives or projects that local people are already doing, we might be able to support them.”
The board was initially launched in June, they had a few months to focus on engaging with local communities and the full launch took place in September.
Lizzie added: “Things have been progressing during the past few months and we are really keen to get people involved and keep promoting where possible.”
The Amersham Community Board covers the following town and parish areas: Amersham, Chesham Bois, Little Chalfont and Coleshill.
