Four people have been charged with shoplifting offences following an incident in Rickmansworth.
It was reported to police that at around 12.50pm on Monday, December 30, approximately £500 worth of spirits were stolen from Waitrose on Homestead Road.
Four people were located at a nearby train station, arrested and later charged with the following:
- Lewis Osborne, 42, of Woodheyes Road, London, was charged with theft from a shop.
- Anita Connolly, 41, of Staverton Road, London, was charged with theft from a shop and for being in possession of a class A drug (cocaine).
- Jay Carter, 36, of Prayle Grove, London, was charged with theft from a shop, two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker, and common assault of an emergency worker.
- Halida Sokolaj, 37, of Woodheyes Road, London, was charged with theft from a shop.
They have all been bailed and will appear at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Friday, January 24.
