Kings Langley Swimming Club (KLSC) are continuing the legacy of their former chairman with a new trophy in his name.
At their recent club championship competition, the Harry Tyler Cup was introduced.
The award is named after former KLSC chairman Harry Tyler, who sadly passed away in October 2023.
Harry’s wife and son, Diane and Ian, presented the award to the winner Mariella Crosskey, who was recognised for her hard work and being “a role model to other swimmers”.
Speaking to KINGSnews, a spokesperson for the club shared: “It was wonderful having Diane and Ian back at KLSC. Many of us were able to share many fond memories of Harry and our experiences at KLSC, all of which would not have been possible without their dedication and hard work.
“It was a fantastic evening and the cup is a small tribute to Harry, as a thanks for all the opportunities he gave young swimmers. We look forward to rewarding many swimmers with the Harry Tyler Cup in the years to come.”
