A county councillor has called for an increased police presence in Hodgemoor Woods in Chalfont St Giles after reports were made concerning public sexual activity.
According to Chalfont St Giles Ward councillor Carl Jackson, there have been two incidents recorded in the past three months.
The first incident took place on February 22. A woman and her teenage child on their way to the bike tracks witnessed two men leaving the bushes while adjusting their clothing.
The second incident took place on April 28, when a woman walking her dog on the footpath near the pig farm came across two men having sex in a bush.
Cllr Jackson said: “Local families, ramblers and dog walkers shouldn’t have to worry about seeing sexual activity when visiting Hodgemoor Woods.
“I have joined with councillors to call for more police patrols to deter this disgraceful behaviour. As a result, the woods are already getting more attention from local police community support officers.
“I encourage residents to report suspicious behaviour to the police.”
Thames Valley Police have been contacted for comment.
