Police are investigating a stabbing across the road from a school in Watford.
On May 27, Watford residents shared concern after not being able to access Harwoods Recreation Ground, opposite Laurence Haines School on Vicarage Road. Herts Police have revealed that they were called to a serious assault, which resulted in a young man being injured.
A Herts Police spokesperson spoke to Watford News and said: “Police are investigating following reports of a serious assault in Harwoods Recreation Ground on Vicarage Road, Watford.
The incident happened between 6.30 am and 7 am when it was reported that a man aged in his 20s sustained a single stab wound. He was taken to hospital for treatment, and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Enquiries are continuing, and anyone with information is asked to please contact police by quoting crime reference number 41/42032/24.
