Police are appealing for witnesses, information and dashcam footage following a road traffic collision in Watford yesterday (Thursday, May 30).

The collision occurred on North Western Avenue (A41), near Costco, at around 12.40pm.

Three vehicles were involved: a red Hyundai Ioniq, a white MG Exclusive and a Black Mercedes EQC 400.

Road closures were put in place while emergency services responded to the incident; these have now been lifted.

Investigations are continuing to establish the circumstances around the collision, and officers from Hertsmere Neighbourhood Policing Team are appealing for any witnesses to please come forward.

PC Luke Hinchcliffe said: “I am appealing to anyone who was driving in the area at the time of the incident to get in touch with any information. We’d be particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have captured dashcam footage.

“No matter how insignificant you think the information is, it could still support our ongoing investigation.

“We appreciate that the road closures caused significant delays. These were put in place to allow emergency services to work safely at the scene and we thank motorists for their patience while we dealt with the incident.”
