SCHOOL REVOLT: Parents speak out against Pinner nursery’s ‘inadequate’ Ofsted report

Published on: 9th May 2023   |   By: Megan Milstead   |   Category: Uncategorized

Kiddicare Nursery in Pinner received an ‘inadequate’ rating from Ofsted in March, sparking outrage amongst parents who disagree.

PINNERnews heard some of their thoughts.

Tara said: “I have had two children at Kiddicare Nursery in the last two years and we have been so happy with the care our children have received there, as well as astounded at their emotional and physical development. The activities that Kiddicare provides are varied and the children love them.

“Our children have been so well looked after and their happy faces when they see the staff are evidence of how comfortable and settled they are there. Kiddicare was also instrumental in the transition of my eldest child to primary school last year. We could not be happier and have recommended the nursery to many.”

Anita said: “My daughter settled almost immediately thanks to the amazing people working there. I can see the positive effects and the developmental progress in my 14 month old already. She loves the nursery, runs in every morning and hugs her teachers.”

Maya said: “My son has been attending Kiddicare for nearly two years now and he is so happy there; it feels like a second home to him. All of the staff are so nurturing and supportive and they provide him with so much care, attention and positivity. I have always found the key workers to be very communicative and the admin team are so efficient. I would highly recommend Kiddicare to anyone looking for a nursery in the area and I feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful and happy environment for my son.”

Dee and Marcela said: “Our son has been at Kiddicare for just over a year now and we’ve had a wonderful experience during this time. Our son has really come along in his development over his time with the nursery and we are so thankful for their efforts. The staff are incredibly attentive and caring day to day and go above and beyond in creating a joyful environment for the children.
“We are aware of the Ofsted report, and we feel it’s a real shame that their visit to this amazing nursery failed to reflect how outstanding it really is. Hopefully, the next visit will be more accurate and will reflect all the very professional, caring, mindful and holistic work that is being done every day for our son and many other children.”

Sharan and Rupen said: “The Ofsted report is not a true reflection of the nursery. It is based on one person’s opinion over a very short period of time. I understand that there is an Ofsted bureaucratic process that is followed but it doesn’t mean this is necessarily correct.

“I find it disheartening as a parent, that all the fantastic work Kiddicare do has been put aside by a report. This report shouldn’t deter anyone from sending their child here. The Kiddicare family work exceptionally hard. There is no other nursery I’d rather have my daughter attend and, in my opinion, it’s the best nursery in town.”

Carmen said: “My daughter has been attending Kiddicare since September last year. She is really happy there. All of the staff are so nurturing, supportive and caring. I feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful, happy and safe environment for my daughter.”

Ofsted “stand by” their report and declined to comment.
