Hertsmere Borough Council is continuing to urge business owners to check their eligibility for government grants during the current coronavirus restrictions and act now to apply.
Cllr John Graham, portfolio holder for finance and property, said: “The council is once again administering the new set of government schemes designed to support the many businesses that have been adversely affected by the second set of lockdown measures and the ensuing Tier 2, 3 and 4 restrictions.
“Please check on eligibility requirements and apply online as soon as possible to ensure that your claim is processed promptly. As with previous schemes, our Revenue and Benefits team is working tirelessly to allocate these monies.”
A discretionary grant fund is also being made available for businesses that are not required to close but have been severely impacted by lockdown measures and restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic.
This is known as Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) and has been given to local authorities to enable them to support businesses more broadly. This scheme is also now available.
