Rickmansworth School will be closed until Monday at the earliest after two members of the school community were tested for coronavirus, we can reveal.
In a letter seen by My Local News, Public Health England advised the school to close until the outcomes of the tests were known.
The results of the tests are expected in the next 24 to 48 hours.
The letter from headteacher Matthew Fletcher says there may be other students who are tested for the virus over the next few days.
The school went to Piancavallo, for a skiing trip over the half term, which is in the Pordenone region of Italy.
Pordenone was not thought to be among the areas affected with the deadly disease
