A Rickmansworth’s mum took to social media to call out “disgusting” litterers who have been leaving rubbish and food around playgrounds in the town.
Katy Alice Moriarty posted on the RCCG Facebook group on Sunday, September 18 after taking her daughter to the Rickmansworth Aquadrome play area, where they were upset to find a half-eaten kebab had been strewn over the children’s slide.
In the post, she said: “We came here after an evening walk with our daughter and even she was even disgusted!”
Speaking to RICKYnews magazine afterwards, Katy added: “My daughter was very upset she couldn’t use the slide.
“It seems to be the norm in the surrounding parks of Rickmansworth. Some sort of damage, rubbish left around, and unsafe things are always found in the parks. I can only believe it is careless teenagers with no respect!”
Other residents concurred with Katy, with some asking that CCTV be installed at these grounds to prevent further incidents from taking place.
