Roads were shut across Rickmansworth yesterday afternoon as police dealt with a welfare incident in the town.
Heavy traffic eventually built as a result of the closures, which combined with a reported crash in Moor Park led to traffic leading up to Watford General Hospital.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: ” Police were called at around 2.30pm on Thursday 26 May to report concerns for the welfare of a male in Church Road, Rickmansworth. Officers attended and road closures were put in place as a precaution.
“The incident was brought to a safe conclusion at around 5.20pm. The male was taken to hospital for further support.”
