A Pinner resident started a creative journaling club to tackle screen addiction and encourage others to return to analogue entertainment.
When life feels busy, it can be difficult to switch off. For Daniéle, discovering small creative activities helped her do just that, eventually inspiring Creative Bloom Club.
Based in Pinner, Daniéle launched the monthly subscription earlier this year. Each month, members receive an envelope containing stationery, creative activities, journaling prompts, and small surprises. There is also a personal letter exploring a different theme.
The idea grew from her experience struggling to quieten a busy mind. Journalling and receiving letters helped, but learning to crochet made the biggest difference. Having something to do with her hands gave her mind permission to slow down.
For Daniéle, creativity isn’t about producing something perfect. It’s about taking minutes away from screens and everyday pressures. She hopes the club encourages people to recognize that looking after yourself doesn’t always require a big commitment.
