Moor Park Golf Club (MPGC) raised a record-breaking £103,176.01 for a local charity over the course of two years.
Successive Club Captains and Ladies Captains chose to support Playskill, a charity which supports children by providing physical therapies and additional support for the whole family.
The funds were raised by members of MPGC at golf days, tennis tournaments, raffles, and a variety of other fundraising events.
Playskill CEO Niki Michael said: “At Playskill, we rely entirely on donations to provide our crucial service to local families.
“We could not be more grateful to MPGC’s Captains who have not only raised a record-breaking amount, but have also helped to elevate our work, enabling Playskill to have a bigger impact in Hertfordshire.”
The donation will help children with both physical delays and disabilities to develop key life skills.
Jackie Sandom, one of the Ladies Captains who supported the charity, said: “I was keen to raise awareness of how Playskill help families and children in Hertfordshire. They are a real lifeline.”
The other captains were John Ambridge and Nick O’Byrne.
