The team at Red Trust Bushey have thanked the ‘champions’ who have helped the charity make a difference in the local area.
The charity aims to build community in the Little Reddings area of Bushey by creating friendly, hospitable spaces and running a foodbank to provide essential items to those in need.
In particular, the charity spotlighted Matty’s Kitchen and Andrew’s Fruiterers, who provide the foodbank with homemade bread and fresh fruit and vegetables every week.
Foodbank manager Vikki said: “At a time when we are seeing a real decrease in donations made to the foodbank, these two local businesses are so kind to keep providing local residents with their delicious produce. Thank you.”
Red Trust Bushey has seen a huge decrease in the number of private and business donations to the foodbank, at a time when more families are “depending on us than ever before”.
If you would like to make a donation, get in touch at www.redtrustbushey.org or pop into the foodbank at the Phoenix Centre, 4 Farrington Avenue.
