School clerk in Stanmore recognised for “consistently high” standards of work

A clerk to a school governor in Stanmore received an award in recognition for her “consistently high” standards of work.

Bhadresha Assani has been working for school governors at both Bentley Wood High School and Aylward Primary School for the past five years was recognised for her work when she received an award from the Association of Harrow Governing Bodies.

School Governors give their time voluntarily and are responsible for making sure that the school provides a good quality education for all pupils.

Headteachers Clive Westall and Janice Howkins nominated Bhadresha for her outstanding contribution as clerk to both schools.

The school said: “Her attention to detail is second to none. Bhadresha is extremely thorough, professional and consistent in all of her work. 

“She is exemplary in her modelling of efficiency and all members of our Governing bodies and the Board of Trustees respond to the extremely high expectations set for meeting deadlines and completing their monitoring visit reviews. 

“Bhadresha’s knowledge of government and statutory regulations is of great value to governors and leaders across both schools. 

“Her checking of policies and the school websites has reduced workload for all. She is passionate about children achieving their best and contributes to the realisation of our vision across the trust. 

Most importantly, Bhadresha is extremely kind and thoughtful, and makes each and every Governor feel valued. She is highly valued by us all.”
