A fundraising charity walk will return to Tring later this month.
Greenfingers Charity, which launched 24 years ago, creates therapeutic garden spaces at children’s hospices across the country. With almost 70 gardens completed and a long list of hospices awaiting their turn, the annual Garden Re-Leaf Day plays a pivotal role in raising vital funds for the charity.
This year’s walk will take place from 9am on Friday, March 15. It will begin and finish at Tring Garden Centre, with walkers given the opportunity to choose between a 10- and 20-mile route.
Last year, the event raised an incredible £70,000.
Linda Petrons, the charity’s director of fundraising and communications, said: “The Garden Re-Leaf Day Charity Walk is such a superb day and we’re so grateful to the team at Tring Garden Centre for their continued hospitality. We’re excited to be back and hope that we might welcome some new walkers and supporters of the event this March.”
