A Garston fitness instructor has been nominated for Parkinson’s UK Rising Star Award for her valuable contribution to local MS and Parkinson’s classes.
Grace West has delivered specialist weekly classes that make a positive difference to people’s lives for over 10 years. She hosts classes at Everyone Active in Watford and has been recognised for her energy, motivation, and commitment to improving the wellbeing of others.
Every Tuesday, she runs a seated and low-impact exercise class for individuals living with Parkinson’s, followed immediately by a tailored session for those living with MS and stroke. Each class regularly welcomes around 25 participants, with numbers continuing to grow.
She has been nominated for the Rising Star Award as she has built a safe and supportive environment, where people living with long-term health conditions feel empowered to stay active.
