Kind-hearted carers at RMBI Care Co. Home Prince Michael of Kent Court, in Watford, have been going all out to boost morale for their residents by setting up a special Easter party.
Like most other care homes, Prince Michael of Kent Court is closed to all but essential visitors to ensure the health and safety of its residents.
The home’s staff are working tirelessly to keep residents safe and to support their wellbeing in these challenging times.
Staff decided to organise the Easter party, complete with a special guest appearance from the Easter Bunny.
Everyone enjoyed a good old-fashioned sing song, a raffle, and delicious cakes.
All the residents were given chocolate eggs which were kindly donated by The Association of Friends of Prince Michael of Kent Court.
The Home has been having weekly indoor street parties. Residents have also enjoyed keeping in touch with their relatives through video calling.
Home activities coordinator, Tracy Lydon, says: “Our Easter party and our indoor street parties have really helped to raise everyone’s spirits. Our residents are coping very well under the circumstances and we are doing everything we can to keep up morale. We have a fantastic team here and everyone is pulling together to get through this.”
RMBI Home Prince Michael of Kent Court is run by RMBI Care Co., part of the Masonic Charitable Foundation.
The Home is rated ‘Outstanding’ by The Care Quality Commission.
