Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden have updated residents on their ongoing development, in a letter seen by ABBOTSnews.
The studios, located near Abbots Langley, are currently being expanded with the addition of 10 new sound stages. Developers say this will “create new job opportunities, boost local businesses, and contribute to the economic growth of the area”.
The letter, sent in March, began by acknowledging the impact of the work on the neighbourhood and thanked residents for their understanding.
It went on to state “construction work is progressing well”, and they are on track to complete the first four sound stages early next year. The accompanying multi-storey car park, pedestrian bridge, and new entrance to the studio will be completed before the sound stages’ opening.
The studio is working with Hertfordshire County Council and Three Rivers District Council to mitigate noise and ensure appropriate management to “minimise the impact on local residents”.
Residents were also invited to drop-in sessions held in early April.
