A group of Moor Park residents have knitted creative toppers for local postboxes.
The Knit & Natter group, which is open to residents of Moor Park and members of Moor Park Golf Club, get together monthly to exchange ideas and help with knitting and crochet projects.
The group has previously taken on projects themed around Christmas and Valentine’s Day, which both received positive feedback from residents and visitors.
Organiser of the group Annette Garvey said: “The skills range from those who are enthusiastic but have never knitted before to those with many years of experience – the key is that everyone is ready to provide help and support as needed.”
More than 20 bollards have also been decorated, as well as some trees.
The group took part in the Moor Park Christmas Fair and raised £658 for Mount Vernon Cancer Centre by selling items they had crafted.
Currently, nearly 20 members are working towards a spring topper which will be unveiled in late March.
