Seeing your child thrive at a sport you love is often a parent’s greatest achievement, and is something two proud Pinner golfers are currently enjoying.
Grim’s Dyke Golf Club (GDGC) members Helen and Bob Longman were in Spain on Sunday, December 1, to witness the success of their son, professional golf caddy Jamie.
Jamie’s long-term partner, Spanish golfer Carlota Ciganda, claimed victory in the Andalucia Costa Del Sol Open de España, the final event of the Ladies European Tour in 2024. This is the golfer’s eighth title.
The pair have been dating since 2015, and Jamie has caddied for Carlota on several occasions.
A spokesperson for GDGC said: “Well done to Carlota, Bob, Helen and Jamie; enjoy these precious memories.
“We hope to see all of you at GDGC sometime soon and best of luck to Carlota and Jamie on tour in 2025!”
