Wealdstone cruised into the Middlesex Senior Cup semi-final after thrashing Staines Town 7-1 away from home.

Despite going a goal down in the opening minutes, Wealdstone scored SIX goals in the second half to romp to victory.

An own goal from a corner gave The Stones the equaliser as the sides went into the second half on level terms.

Wealdstone then scored six in the last half an hour the game, starting with a debut goal from McCoy.

Cadogan’s cross inadvertently found its way into the net to give The Stones a two goal cushion.

Debutant McCoy got his second of the game when his volley smashed past the Staines’ goalkeeper.

Lafayette got himself on the scoresheet on the 75th minute with a fantastic strike to put further emphasis on the thrashing.

The goals didn’t stop there when Lafayette got his second and the Stones’ sixth when he coolly found the back of the net.

The scoring finished with a penalty from Wealdstone’s Watt which he despatched perfectly to ensure the Stones scored seven for the second game in a row.

The Stones now march on to the semi-final where they’ll face either Brentford B, Broadfields United or Bedfont Sports.
