Nominations are now open for Berkhamsted Sports Grounds’ (BSG) Sporting Excellence Awards.
The charity was set up to hold land, in trust, in Berkhamsted for sport and active leisure purposes and celebrated its centenary last year.
Nominations have now opened for six of BSG’s annual awards, which will be presented in June.
The Rising Star of the Year award winner will earn £1,000 for elite coaching and a trophy, while Club of the Year will receive the same cash prize and a trophy.
The Under 18 Sports Person of the Year, Adult Sports Person of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Volunteer Coach of the Year will all receive a £250 voucher and a trophy for winning.
The charity, which owns the freehold land where Berkhamsted FC and Berkhamsted Cricket Club play, as well as part of the Berkhamsted Lawn Tennis & Squash Rackets Club site, has opened the awards to all eligible clubs in the area. Find out more at at www.bsgca.org
