An eclectic band who have already amassed more than 100,000 streams on Spotify will launch their debut LP at the end of this month.
Legends of the Seven Golden Vampires consists of Rickmansworth resident and multi-instrumentalist Nick Foster, plus musicians Luke Barratt and Shakeel Esoof from Bushey. In their music, the trio fuse together post-punk, soul and trip hop.
So far, the band have released several singles through Nick’s record label, Prank Monkey. Their tracks have been played on national radio stations including BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio X and Absolute Radio. The band have also accrued more than one million views on TikTok.
Setting the scene, Nick explained: “I was actually on sabbatical from another band when I put together this track called Autumn Fall and it kind of took off.”
While the band’s earliest tracks from 2022 lean towards discordant sounds and an “uneasy listening” experience, Nick describes the forthcoming album as more “coherent” than previous singles.
He added: “The album is semi-gothic. We’ve used electronics and instruments to add a post-punk feel.”
The band’s new music is available on Spotify and YouTube.
