Two men have been arrested following reports of an armed robbery at knifepoint last night in the Meriden estate in Garston.
After the incident took place, which according to police was at a restaurant on York Way, the area was scoured by officers whilst a helicopter searched for the offenders from the sky.
Now, it’s been confirmed that two men have been arrested on the charge of armed robbery, aged 19 and 23 respectively.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: “Police were called at just before 11pm yesterday (Tuesday 8 March) to reports of an armed robbery at a restaurant on York Way, Watford.
“Officers, including the armed response unit and police helicopter, attended and searched the area. A knife was recovered and two men, aged 19 and 23, were arrested on suspicion of robbery. They remain in police custody at this time.”
