A Watford-based charity has spread kindness by delivering goods to the most vulnerable.
On World Kindness Day on Thursday, November 13, Small Acts of Kindness, a charity helping to reduce loneliness and isolation for older and vulnerable people, packed more than 600 Bags of Kindness with the help of over 50 volunteers and staff. The bags include treats, practical gifts and useful information.
CEO and founder Lynne Misner said: “We are hugely proud of our Bags of Kindness project and the impact it has not only on the recipients of our bags, but the volunteers who pack them. Projects like this gives people a platform to be kind and the result is truly heart-warming.
“Being able to perform acts of kindness provides opportunities for people to help others, connect with their community and make a positive difference. It is so powerful.”
Bags of Kindness is an ongoing project funded by Hertfordshire County Council, which has reached 18,000 people so far.
