Radlett Cricket Club’s first team won the league in emphatic fashion this year, doubling up on last year’s league victory.
Radlett CC took the Herts Cricket League Premier Division crown in style at the beginning on September, thrashing Hertford with a 212-run win on the opposition’s turf.
The win left them untouchable before the season was even over.
Club president Tony Johnson said: “I think it was a very good season for us. It was a three or four horse races, to be fair, and the competition has been good this year. It’s been quite intense but it makes it a better win.
“We lost it a couple of years ago, so it feels good winning it again this season.
“I am delighted with the season all round. Three junior champions this year as well, the 11s, 12s and 14s – it has been a great season.”
Kabir Toor, first team captain, told RadlettNews: “It’s always satisfying to win something in the way we have.
“The team has been fantastic. There have been good individual performances but we’ve worked really well as a team.
“This is my last season as captain of the team so on a personal note, this was a great way to step down. I’ve been here since 2007 and look forward to playing on for the club.”
