A car was recovered from Abbots Langley on Saturday, January 18, after it rolled down a hill. A silver Kia Picanto made its way down Abbots Road and was left stranded across a resident’s driveway. The vehicle hit a white transit van parked outside the house, and it was the van that prevented it from travelling all the way down the hill. Abbots Langley PCSO Emma Coyle told My Abbots News that the incident occurred after the driver failed to put the handbrake on correctly. She said: “We can’t gain access to the vehicle as, if the van was moved, the car would go hurtling down the hill.” The vehicle was towed away and the owner will have to pay a fee to recover it. PCSO Coyle added: “Our hope is that it belongs to someone visiting the area for the day. Hopefully they’ll come back and see it is missing sooner rather than later. The longer it’s left, the more they’ll have to pay.” Is this your car? Contact Abbots Langley Police on 01923 472471.
