New measures have recently come into effect, allowing Buckinghamshire Council (BC) to issue fines to any vehicles breaking moving traffic restrictions.
BC is one of the first councils outside of London to have been granted these powers.
These restrictions include driving in a bus lane, making a turn in a restricted area, and stopping in a hatched box.
In order to enforce these rules properly, automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras have been installed across the county.
In Chalfont St Peter, an ANPR camera has been placed on Oval Way near Thorpe House School. In Gerrards Cross, a camera has been installed by the Packhorse Road box junction with Station Road.
Elsewhere, police in Gerrards Cross recently highlighted a rule-breaking vehicle on social media.
Thames Valley Police South Buckinghamshire said on Twitter: “PCSO Churchward spotted a vehicle this afternoon parked on zig-zag lines in Gerrards Cross.
“Parking on zig-zag lines can potentially block the view of both pedestrians and oncoming traffic. Drivers can be issued with a fixed penalty notice.”
