Police are reappealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage following a serious road traffic collision on the M1 Southbound.
The collision occurred at around 4.40pm on Friday, May 2 near to Junction 5 and involved five vehicles – a white Ford Fiesta, a skip loader, a blue Mini Cooper, a black Ford Focus and a black Volvo XC90.
Two people suffered serious injuries and remain in hospital at this time. Three people also suffered minor injuries.
The woman who was driving the Fiesta has been arrested on suspicion of serious injury by dangerous driving.
Detective Constable Dale Morris from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We are appealing for further witnesses to this incident that involved multiple vehicles.
“The road was busy at the time, and I am appealing to anyone that witnessed this incident to please come forward if they have information.
