Hertfordshire Police are currently investigating several suspicious incidents in Bushey.
Between September 23 and 25, police received four separate reports stating that a white man had approached teenage girls in school uniform.
On two of the occasions, the man is reported to have touched the girls, before walking off.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Jo Skingley said: “We appreciate these incidents will cause concern among the local community. We’re doing all we can to identify and trace any suspects, including a review of CCTV opportunities.
“Safety advice has been shared with schools and patrols have been increased in the area.
“If you have been approached in similar circumstances or have any information which may assist enquiries, please contact us straight away.”
Enquiries are continuing to establish whether the incidents are linked and to trace a suspect.
