Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted while jogging through Chalfont St Peter near Gerrards Cross.

The incident took place at 11:05am on Thursday, June 9, when the woman was running along Joiners Lane. There, a man in his seventies reached out and inappropriately touched her over her clothing.

The offender has been described as being a white male, with wavy, shoulder-length silver hair and his head tilted slightly to the side. He was wearing a distinctive turquoise jumper.

Investigating officer PC Craig Thomas, based at Amersham police station, said: “I would like to appeal to anybody who may have been in this area during this time or driving past and witnessed anything, or have dash cam footage, to please get in touch.

“You can get in touch by either making a report online or by calling 101 quoting reference number 43220251672.

“Alternatively, for 100% anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

If you have dash cam, doorbell footage or CCTV, you can upload directly to the police’s online platform.
