An Abbots Langley resident is continuing to take the music world by storm after performing at the O2 with Swedish House Mafia.
Connie Constance, who was born and bred in the village, performed with the popular house music group in London on October 2.
This is not Connie’s only triumph however, as she recently released her second album, Miss Power, on November 4.
Speaking to AbbotsNews about her performance with Swedish House Mafia, Connie said it was a whirlwind experience.
She said: “It was so crazy. I didn’t know what was I was doing my life and was questioning whether I should have pursued music and I went to LA and they [Swedish House Mafia] happened to be there making music.
“I had goals in my life with music but I never thought I would be able to do a song with someone that big. All my family came to the O2.
“It’s nice to know it can happen. You don’t have to be from a musical background; you can just graft.”
Discussing her new album, Connie said although she’s been releasing music since 2015, this project has been special.
She said: “This album will be my second, but it feels like my first. It’s the first time for me a project has completely felt like my sound.
“The album is about empowerment and I love it.”
