POLICE APPEAL: Witnesses sought after village traffic collision

A man in his 70s remains in hospital following a dangerous traffic incident in Chorleywood.

The collision took place on Thursday, December 9 at around 5:50pm on the Rickmansworth Road.

Police are asking for witnesses to come forward and any dashboard camera footage they may have.

The man was crossing the road near Christ Church when he was collided with by a blue Audi A4.

PC Tristan Webb, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said:

“It is believed that there were several people in the area at the time and I am appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police to please come forward.

“I’d also like to hear from anyone who may have captured dash cam footage of the collision, or events leading up to it. If you can help, please contact us.”
