Popular entertainment show Dancing on Ice is moving its location to Bovingdon Airfield, having been filmed at the famous Elstree Studios for eight series. TV bosses have confirmed that the former RAF site, which has been home to such films as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, will be the new base for Dancing on Ice from January. An ITV spokesman said: “It will be a temporary build holding two rinks – one for training and one for the live weekend show.” However, this is not the first time the show has moved to a different location – viewers saw an exclusive set in the sixth series as Dancing on Ice moved from Elstree to Shepperton Studios in 2011. The 10th series of Dancing on Ice is set to return to TV in January next year after what will have been a four-year hiatus. Hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby return, while legendary ice skating duo Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have become judges. Picture courtesy of Tom Bishop
