Neighbourhood policing officers have released a CCTV image of a woman who might be able to help with their enquiries following a theft in Harpenden.

An elderly man withdrew £200 from the cash machine at 2.45pm in the Co-Op in Southdown Road and dropped it on June 30.

PC Sean Lannon said: “We believe the woman pictured may have been in the area at the time and could have important information for us.

“If you recognise her, or you are the person pictured, please email me at sean.lannon@herts.police.uk quoting crime reference 41/53187/24.”

You can also report information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in the Force Communications Room via the online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101.

Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org
