Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a woman fell out of a moving car in Watford.

At around 2.20am on Saturday, March 25, it was reported that a passenger, a woman aged in her 20s, had fallen out of a moving vehicle on The Avenue, on the roundabout near The Horns pub. She sustained minor injuries as a result.

A 21-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of common assault and driving whilst unfit through drink. He was released on bail while enquiries continue.

PC Abi Wilkins, who is investigating, said: “Our enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances around how the woman came to exit the vehicle, described as a blue Chevrolet, and we are asking for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police to please come forward.

“Additionally, if you were driving in the area at the time and have a dash cam fitted, please check your footage as you may have recorded something that could help with our investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to please email PC Wilkins at abi.wilkins@herts.police.uk.
