Beer drinkers and party animals of Watford will be thrilled to hear that Herts Oktoberfest is returning to Cassiobury Park later this year.
The festival originated on October 12, 1810, in celebration of the marriage of Ludwig I of Bavaria to Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen.
The event first came to the town last year and saw 4,000 revellers enjoy 10,000 litres of beer across two days.
Fans of the event will be happy to hear that from October 10 to 12, Cassiobury Park will once again be transformed into a Bavarian wonderland. Guests can enjoy live Oompah bands, traditional karaoke dancing, Oktoberfest games, axe throwing, gourmet food, and big steins of German beer.
A spokesperson for the event posted on social media: “Our premium Oktoberfest experience has toured many other cities in the UK last year and we are pleased to be bringing it back here in Hertfordshire where it all started!
“We look forward to welcoming you all again!”
