Published on: 10th November 2022   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

Police are appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage following a road traffic collision on Lower Kings Road in Berkhamsted.

At around midday on Tuesday, November 8, a man in his sixties was hit by a car which failed to stop near the Cook shop. The man sustained slight injuries.

PC Lee Gough, from the Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Roads Policing Unit, said: “This was a traumatic incident for the victim, and we are doing all we can to trace the driver. The vehicle was believed to be a silver estate car, potentially an Astra and around nine years old. I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the incident or vehicle to please contact me at lee.gough@herts.police.uk.

“I also encourage anyone who may have been driving in the area to check your dash cams as you may have captured footage that could assist us with our investigation.”

Information can be reported online at the Hertfordshire Constabulary website, by speaking to an operator in the Force Communications Room via the online web chat or by calling the non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 292 of 08/11.

Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form.
